It is an original Canarian style house which the owners have tastefully renovated and converted to a holiday home with modern comforts.
Casa Carmen is a cosy holiday home with excellent views over the hillside, the village, up to the mountains and down to the Atlantic Ocean

Accommodation
Casa Carmen has a living room with open kitchen, 1 bedroom and a bathroom. In front of the house is a covered and sheltered terrace, next to the house (South) a second terrace and there is an outside kitchen with barbeque.

In the living room you'll find a comfortable sofa and a coffee table. The door opens onto the terrace. There is TV.

Bedroom and bathroom
		In the bedroom of Casa Carmen you'll find two single beds (90x200) with good matrasses. In the bathroom you'll find a shower, wash basin and WC.

Terrace and barbeque
In front of the house is a covered and sheltered terrace with tables and chairs and sunbeds and next to the house (South) a sunny terrace. Next to the house is an outside kitchen with barbeque.

Area

Puntagorda is one of the most beautiful areas of La Palma, is in the north-west of the island and about 1,5 hours drive from the airport.
Puntagorda has various shops, a dispensing chemist, butcher, banks with cash dispensers, a post office, restaurants, typical local bars, public swimming pool and on Saturdays and Sundays there is a market in the Mercadillo selling local produce.
In January the almond trees start flowering in Puntagorda. Every year, at the end of January or beginning of February, Puntagorda celebrates the Festival of the Flowering Almond.
The area around Puntagorda is a must for nature lovers. There are many and varied walking paths, view points, some old windmils and El Fayal, a beautiful pine forest with barbecue and picnic area and childrens playground.
El Puerto has access to the sea. There is no beach, but in the summer months you can swim in the ocean.
Puntagorda is ideally situated for trips to the north of La Palma and the highest point of the island Roque de Los Muchachos.
It is ±45 minutes drive to the town of Los Llanos with the famous Plaza de España and the beautiful streets and houses. The sandy beach at Tazacorte is a ±35 minutes drive.
